- The eggs will hatch in 3 to 5 days as six-legged larvae.
- In 1 to 2 days, the larvae will grow to first stage nympha and then second stage nympha. Second stage nympha has 8 legs. That nympha will become a female mite, waiting to mate with the male..
- The mite will grow as a adult mite in 2 to 4 days.

Scabies will cause a severe itchiness that is worse at night. The itchiness is a reaction of skin allergy. Scabies is a skin disease that forms in group. It will infect some areas of the skin and not spread to other areas but it can be contagious to other individuals.

Complication of Scabies

- Tint Test.Tint Tes is done by applying titn in the area and clean it using sterile cotton. If after cleaning it, there is still tint remaining as small lines, it can be confirmed that there is mites nest in there.
- Biopsy.This method is done by observing the skin tissue in laboratory.

To treat scabies, you can follow these steps:
- Get to know the initial symptoms
Before going to the doctor, it is better to recognize that your skin is infected as scabies. The symptoms are rashes and severe itchiness and will get worse at night. Common areas for scabies are the skin between fingers, armpits, wrist etc.
- Do medical check-up immediately
- Get the right medical prescriptions
If you are diagnosed having scabies, doctor generally will give medicines like ointment or lotion with 5% of Permethrin. The content will kill mite underneath your skin.
- Permethrin. Permethrin is an ointment that should be applied to the infected skin. It has side effects like burning sensation and itchiness. It will work in one time application, it generally will work in 8 to 14 hours after the application.
- Ivermectin. This medicine is an oral one for people with weak immune system. It has side effects like fever, headache, losing appetite, joint pain and rashes.
- Ointment medicine. Other than Permethrin, there is also ointment with 10% of Crotamiton, 1% of Lindane 1%, or sulfur 6%. This is the last alternative if two medicine above do not work.

You can combine medical medicines with the herbal ones. You can use natural materials such a Mimba (Azadirachta indica), Karanja (Pongamia pinnata), Turmeric (Curcuma longa), manjishtha (Rubia cordifolia), darvi (Berberis aristata).

- After body is completely dry, use the ointment.
- After 14 hours, wash the area with warm water. You need to know that it can take weeks after treatment for the skin to heal, so during that time you can do regular medical check-up.

Herbal Medicines

- Tinospora cordifolia. This plant has sulfuric compound so it is effective to kill the mites. You can crush some leaves and add some drops of coconut oil. Then apply it to the infected skin.
Personal Treatment
You can do some prevention, such as keeping the surrounding clean and not making any contact with people with scabies. You can also use oral medicines like hydroksizin hydrocloride (Atarax), or diphenhydramin hydrocloride (Benadryl) to get rid of the itchiness.
